Field Music’s studio is a large, well-equipped, multi-room space near the centre of Sunderland. Owned and operated by brothers David and Peter from Field Music, the studio offers recording facilities and producing, playing, writing and arranging services.

The Miner’s Hall, originally constructed in 1893, was once the heart of Silksworth's Community. It is now home to the Miners’ Hall Recording Studio. 

Following months of planning and design, the studio's construction took 10 months to produce a professional, fully equipped, soundproof recording studio. It has since been in immediate demand with local and national bands.

Owner Richard Judson studied at York St John University where he gained a BA (Hons) in Communication Arts specialising in music. This was followed by a Master’s degree in vocal performance from Newcastle University. 

Richard performs regularly as a vocalist, guitarist, bassist, double bassist, pianist, and accompanist and has a wealth of teaching experience. His band was recently awarded Wedding Band of the Year at the English Wedding Awards. As a choir leader, two of his choirs won North East School Choir of the Year.
