Women’s Rugby World Cup Fan Zone

On August 21st, Sunderland will host the Rugby World Cup Fan Zone at Keel Square. This event takes place ahead of the Stadium of Light hosting the Women’s Rugby World Cup match, England v USA on Friday 22nd. This fan zone at Keel Square will be a celebratory evening with powerful conversations about women in music and sport, followed by standout performances from local music stars.

The event will kick off at 4pm with an hour-long Women in Music & Sport panel discussion. This panel brings together voices from across both industries to talk challenges, triumphs, and the future of women in these fields.

Then, from 5.30pm onwards, the spotlight will shine on an all-female-led, mixed-genre line-up featuring some of the North East’s most exciting artists. With the lineup as follows:

·       Cortney Dixon – 5.30–6.00pm

·       Shannon Pearl – 6.20–7.00pm

·       Lottie Willis – 7.20–8.00pm

·       Kay Greyson – 8.20–9.00pm

·       Du Blonde – 9.20–10.00pm

Alongside the music, there will be bars serving refreshments and fairground rides for all ages to enjoy.
