On Saturday 2nd August, from 11am - 3pm, Sunderland will come to life with free live music across three outdoor stages.

The Northern Academy of Music are sponsoring a stage outside the Peacock, with four of their talented students performing, a celebration of young and up-and-coming talent.

The Sunderland Music City stage will be outside The Fire Station. Local artist Jamal Graham, DJ Jamal G, will be hosting an open decks DJ workshop, and punters are invited to come and have a go.

The Bunker have a stage in Minster Park at the heart of the city. The Bunker’s lineup showcases their evening and weekend groups, plus appearances from recognised tutors and the Young Musicians Project.

Buskers will be scattered across the City Centre and Seafront, utilising our busker pitches we set up for the Welcome to the Year of Music event. Beccy Young will be at Roker Seafront between 11-12pm, then Ruby Kelly will be there from 1-2pm. James Berry is at Mackies Corner 12-1pm and Jenny Dean will be by Park Lane between 2-3pm.
