MCN Live: Sunderland

Three local artists play alongside three international artists from member cities of the Music Cities Network for MCN Live: Sunderland.

Hosted by Sunderland Music City MCN Live: Sunderland will take place on Friday 19 June during the final weekend of Sunderland Year of Music. 

The event also forms part of Summit Week Sunderland, the wraparound programme for the Music Cities Network Summer Summit. 

Sunderland Music City have given bursaries for three international artists to travel to the UK and play in iconic grassroots venue Independent, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Playing alongside local artists will encourage cultural exchange and opportunities for future gig swaps and collaboration across the globe.

The local artists playing are Patrick Gosling, spacecadetbloom and Prospect of Power. 

From the Music Cities Network member cities, the artists Migluma, Lemony Rug and Velocity Made Good will be playing.
