Poverty Proofing Training

Sunderland Music City partners with Children North East to offer free Poverty Proofing© training for venues, promoters and anyone else with an interest in developing their understanding and awareness of the difficulties and barriers that people may experience attending music events in Sunderland.

There are two main aims of this training afternoon; attendees develop an understanding and an empathy for people experiencing the effects of poverty, and that attendees start to understand and unpick the impact poverty may have on the accessibility of their work through a three-part training session. The session will also help you provide an even safer and more welcoming space, developing new audiences for the future.

This training session will take place at Pop Recs, Sunderland.
