The Yummy Fur / Milky Wimpshake / Roxy Girls

The Yummy Fur came out of Glasgow in the early 90s fusing angular ice-cream van guitar riffs to caustic blather concerning gay cowboys, schemie junkies, ultra bras and Cassavetes movies. They split up into a million tiny shards in 1999 with members going on to form Franz Ferdinand and 1990s and their influence reaching its grubby paws into everybody from the Gossip thru Parquet Courts to Fat White Family.

Now reformed with all original members and a sound like a Panzer Tank falling off the Empire State Building, this is the first time they've played Sunderland since performing for Kenickie's mam's and dad's in a working men's club in the late 90s.
